Ludovica is about to embark on a new adventure as part of her doctoral studies. She will spend six months abroad in a formative research period, three months at the University of Durham in Prof. Gary Sharples’s group, where she will test the molecules she has synthesized for antimicrobial activity, and three months at the University of Glasgow in Prof. Andrew Jamieson’s group, where she will deepen her knowledge of peptide solid-phase synthesis.
I wish her all the best! It promises to be an enriching experience both scientifically and personally!

I am really happy to share the new website of the project Va3SCoDi a project funded by Regione Toscana, aiming to valorise the historical scientific instruments, documents and materials at Dipartimento di Chimica e Chimica Industriale - Università di Pisa. Credits go to Prof. Valentina Domenici which realized a great scientific and cultural network between several stakeholders like Museo Galileo Galilei, Fondazione Galileo Galilei and Musna. Researcher Luca Rocca is fully committed to this project, which hopefully will lead one day to the realization of a Chemistry Museum.Follow our progress!!

Congratulations to Giulia Francescato, which is now member of our group, for winning Best PhD Thesis 2024 at ITQB NOVA , Lisboa, Portugal, where she did her doctoral studies! Brava Giulia, we are proud of you!
